These rainbow cupcakes were such a dream to make and they look so fun with the color variations on the inside. You’re kids will be going crazy for these delicious rainbow cupcakes and asking for more gold once they’ve eaten them all gone.Make these fun Rainbow Cupcakes for a party or for St Patricks Day. So delicious and easy. Only on frenchiewraps.comWhat I used is the Duff Goldman Tie Dye mix and just mixed it according to package directions. I separated the batter into 6 different cups and added the included color drops as directed to the cups. I used my 1 Tbsp. scoop and added them into the cupcake wrapper in the order of the rainbow.Make these fun Rainbow Cupcakes for a party or for St Patricks Day. So delicious and easy. Mini Gingerbread Houses with the Kids

December 21, 2015

This shop has been compensated by Collective Bias, Inc. and its advertiser. All opinions are mine alone. #HoneyMaidHouse #CollectiveBiasHave a fun Holiday Party making mini gingerbread houses with Honey Maid Graham CrackersChristmas came early this year for my kids. I try to stick to holiday tradition but it not always the easiest or most convenient but for us, gingerbread houses are a must.

We usually get the pre-made box kit and use hot glue to hold it together (we don’t eat them in our house). I decided to give the kids something whimsical to do and so we used Honey Maid graham crackers and some classic white frosting to put them together. I’ve seen them put together ahead of time or allow them to be made right before decorating. I can tell you with this experience, glue them ahead of time. They’ll be sturdy enough for the kids to add some more frosting and not have to worry about it falling over. Have a fun Holiday Party making mini gingerbread houses with Honey Maid Graham CrackersGo non-traditional too and use some things that are unexpected with your candies. Mix it up because it’s all about making this a fun and memorable experience with the kids. Have a fun Holiday Party making mini gingerbread houses with Honey Maid Graham CrackersHave a fun Holiday Party making mini gingerbread houses with Honey Maid Graham CrackersI headed over to Wal-Mart and grabbed all my supplies. I stuck with the traditional Christmas color palate and let my daughter choose some fun candy of her own. I have these jars left over from my Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle party that I got from TomKat Studio.  Mini jars are a must for any party and any cooking just to make things a bit easier for the kids. IMG_9423As you can see, Freddie had a hard time with his staying together so naturally, he ate it. We invited some neighbors over to make them with us and they had so much fun. Siaki thought he had the best one and Leila just decorated her Santa. Siaki gets my OCD when it comes to making things just the way they’re supposed to be rather than just letting things be how they turn out. As I’ve grown older, I’ve been able to let go of this but seeing him as a kid, I definitely see how I struggled with this growing up. Have a fun Holiday Party making mini gingerbread houses with Honey Maid Graham CrackersHave a fun Holiday Party making mini gingerbread houses with Honey Maid Graham CrackersChristmas is such a great time of year for children who believe. Freddie told me the other day that he knew I was Santa because of the wrapping paper but he just knows St. Nick is still real. I’m trying to be better about following traditions for my kids. I remember those were the things I loved so much when I was a kid that they need to have more consistency about it around the holidays. Have a fun Holiday Party making mini gingerbread houses with Honey Maid Graham CrackersTo give you more ideas on this fun idea for kids, head on over to Honey Maid site and check them out. Mothers Day Garden Party and a Tribute to my Mom

May 2, 2015

This shop has been compensated by Collective Bias, Inc. and its advertiser. All opinions are mine alone. #BestMomsDayEver #CollectiveBias

Mothers Day PartyWhen I was putting together this party, all I could really think about is how fabulous moms everywhere are and how little credit we give our own selves. It’s really time to make a change and have a party celebrating our moms and make sure that we save a spot for our self at that table.

Easy DIY Flower CupcakesIn all reality, this was probably the easiest party I’ve ever put together because everything was pre-baked, pre-bought, pre-printed or in one spot for me to buy. I didn’t have to go running around, I didn’t feel frazzled thinking that I had to make the best of the best. I really could take the time to enjoy peoples company.

Easy Carrot CakeThis last weekend at the SNAP! Conference, we had the pleasure of hearing David Tutera speak. Someone had asked what makes a great hostess, he simply said that you are the first person they see, you are always making sure that they have food or a drink and you are the last person they see. That is so true. All these minuet details are so vain and we think that’s what makes a party but what really makes a party is the people being present. That is always what has made our mothers so special, is that they are always present when we need them.

Easy Fruit Tray for a PartyMy mother and my mother-in-law are two women that I hold in high regard and there are two different reasons. My mom has always been a hard worker outside and inside our home. I have always contributed being successful in the workplace and not being a stay at home parent. My mom has always helped me throughout the struggles I’ve had the last 5 years when I started staying at home with my kids. Another thing that has happened in the last 5 years is my mom was diagnosed with Renal Failure. We all thought that we’d be able to donate to her and that would be that. We were really wrong.

Mothers Day Party 1It turns out that because my moms diagnoses was from her diabetes, they are nervous that us children could all in fact get diabetes. They won’t allow us to donate because they don’t want us to be in the same situation 30 years from now. It’s extremely frustrating because as a child, you want to help your mom just as she has helped you, but you can’t. She has continued to fight and work all at the same time battling infections and denials of transplants, however, she has continued to stay positive all for the sake of her children and grandchildren. She still continues to take time out of her day to still help me fold my laundry even.

Mothers Day Party 2My mother-in-law has always been a great caretaker in the home. Shes had 14 children all starting at the age of 18. My husband comes in third in the family so when we go see everyone, it is always a blessing to be surrounded by younger siblings. When my husbands father was diagnosed with liver cancer in 2006, we had no idea what undertaking she would endure. She still had 7 kids left in the house, by this time 2 of the younger kids had passed away from a heart defect and from something unknown. She had to fight everyday to tend to the bush, to the house and now it is getting more difficult because there are only 2 children left in the house to help. I am amazed by her strength in the LDS church and how it has never wavered. She is so sure that she will see her husband again and I know that by seeing her testimony grow, mine has grown.

American Greetings Mothers Day CardI am so blessed to have these women in my life and so honored to be their daughter. I love that I have the opportunity to mail these cards out to them and that I can express to them the greatness they are in my life. Head on over to Walmart to grab some of these adorable and heartfelt goodness. They also have some perfect gifts to hand out to those loved mamas in your life. DIY Paper Coasters

October 8, 2014

DIY Halloween Coasters on frenchiewraps.com

These are some darling coasters that I made for an upcoming post that I’m working on. Clearly it’ll be Halloween inspired and something to do with a table setting. I’m working on it now and it’s going to be pretty awesome! It’s some DIY Paper Coasters, come see how easy they were to make.

I used My Minds Eye line of Frightful again, it’s really my go to for this season. I’m into that whole vintage look of Halloween. It’s always just enamored me the colors and the great artwork.

DIY Halloween Coasters on frenchiewraps.comFor these I just cut 4″ circles and used some tissue garland that I found at Target. It has really been a total hit for me this year with their decor. They always usually are but sometimes they go a bit bold and bright for my taste. I’m still a Target junkie and there is no recovery for me! The cups I grabbed at the dollar store.

DIY Halloween Coasters on frenchiewraps.comWith the circles I just flipped them upside down and took a bead of hot glue and laid the garland into it. I pressed it all the way around in the circle until it was covered and that’s it. Done-zo!
