Create this DIY Pineapple shirt, perfect for the Polynesian Princess in your life!customizeable pineapple shirtI have been able to post with Expressions Vinyl on their blog for the past few months and I’m excited to share this post on my blog now. Leila had her Moana birthday party a few weeks ago so for the party we had to make her a DIY Pineapple Shirt using our Cricut Explore.

Use the cut file that I’ve already created for you and cut each layer with the desired color. When I apply my iron-on, I like to use this technique. It ensures I get a good stick and I’m able to layer effectively. Just remember that you cannot layer over glitter. I’ve tried layering flocked iron-on and it wasn’t the best result but it did work.

You will then peel away the part of the image that you do not want. Use a weeding tool, it makes life a whole lot easier but you can definitely use a safety pin. Again, be sure to mirror your image and keep whatever design you want to go on your shirt stays on the plastic.

Be sure that your iron doesn’t directly touch the iron-on. That will cause wrinkling and it’ll feel like all your hard work was wasted.
