This months theme for our Inspire My Creativity is Dollar Store Crafts. Show us what you’ve got at the bottom of this post. For me, I’m going to show you my easy St Patricks Day dollar store craft using just about everything from there.

Supplies

Cut your stencils using your electronic cutter. I created a square and then sliced my shamrock image into the middle. If you have Cricut Design Space, the file is available above all sized for your.Clean your glasses with some rubbing alcohol to get it squeaky clean. Peel off your stencil and place it on your glass. Take your foam brush and dip it into your etching cream and paint it on. Don’t be afraid to glop it on. Mine wasn’t so I’ve got spots that aren’t etched. Once you’re done, just rinse it under warm water and peel off your stencil. These are now dishwasher safe so go for it! These are such fun to have at a St Patricks Day table setting and filled with green milk or even some lucky beer!

Only on frenchiewraps.comWhat I used is the Duff Goldman Tie Dye mix and just mixed it according to package directions. I separated the batter into 6 different cups and added the included color drops as directed to the cups. I used my 1 Tbsp. scoop and added them into the cupcake wrapper in the order of the rainbow.Make these fun Rainbow Cupcakes for a party or for St Patricks Day. So delicious and easy. Only on frenchiewraps.comI preheated my oven to 350 degrees and baked them for 20 minutes or until you press down in the middle and they bounce back up. Allow them to cool completely and then ice them with some of my secret weapon, bakery bought cream cheese icing!

  • Prep Time: 20m
  • Cook Time: 20m
  • Total Time: 40m
  • Yield: 18 cupcakes

Ingredients

  • 1 package Duff Goldman tie dye cake mix
  • 1 package bakery bought cream cheese frosting
  • 1 package gold coins

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees and mix your cake mix according to package directions. Line your cupcake pan with liners and scoop a tablespoon of each color into the liners until 3/4 full. You should be able to fit all six colors into the liners. Cook for 20 minutes and cool on a wire wrack. Place frosting into a pastry bag or ziploc and frost as desired. Top with chocolate coins or with dollar store plastic coins.

I topped them off with some gold coins from the dollar store but you could even get more fancy and use the gold coin chocolate. That’ll send you into more of a sugar high!Make these fun Rainbow Cupcakes for a party or for St Patricks Day. So delicious and easy. Only on frenchiewraps.com
