I love using my EasyPress to customize items you normally wouldn’t. I grabbed these heart shaped place mats from the Target Dollar Spot and used these cute sayings to customize them.
Go ahead and open the public Design Space file. You can now open shared canvases on your mobile app. That is huge news for me and anyone else who cuts using the Bluetooth capability on your Explore or Maker.Once your canvas is open, send it to your machine. Be sure to mirror your image! The Explore models have the smart dial and you can easily choose Iron-On vinyl. When you have a Cricut Maker, everything is chosen just like it’s a custom material. You have a list of items to chose from. There is either Iron-On Vinyl or HTV. Some people have chosen HTV and it cuts through the carrier sheet. Choose the Iron-On setting and you’ll have a perfect cut every time.Weed out the negative space of your Iron-On Vinyl and preheat your EasyPress to the correct setting. If using Iron-On Lite, choose 305 degrees.Plave a folded towel on a firm surface and place your Valentine place mats on the towel. Pre-heat the place mats for around 10 secondsand then plave your image where you want it. Press for 25-30 seconds, turn the placemat over and press again for the same amount of time.Peel off the carrier sheet and you’re ready. TO care for your items, wait at least 24 hours to wash. These placemats can’t be turned inside out but if you have clothes, be sure to turn them inside out when washing them.
You’ll first want to start by saving the free valentine .svg files to your computer. If you have the one I use, use this method. If you have a different brand, just use the suggested method of how others upload images.Cut your vinyl into the shapes. I used my favorite electronic cutter and I had to do a double cut when I selected the glitter vinyl setting. Weed your image and then place the transfer tape over your image.Next you’ll want to paint your ceramic conversation hearts. Choose an acrylic paint in the color or your choice. I used red, gold and white to coordinate with my American Greetings party supplies. It’s the perfect colors for a Valentines party and matching gifts.I chose to do two coats of paint on each heart. Once the paint is completely dry, place your transferred image and press the vinyl onto your conversation heart. Peel the transfer tape up and your image will stay on the heart.I paired it with these darling heart paper plates and placed each one of my kids’ Valentine card underneath. Grab these super American Greetings cards at Walmart.Giving gifts is important to me but it’s more important if it has sentiment. I love getting something that is store bought but personalizing it on your own. I have found that the Valentines Day American Greetings items at Walmart are the perfect items to do this with.I especially love their tissue paper. How cute are these X’s and O’s?! Then the heart wrapping paper is perfect for any time of the year. Close each envelope with one of their glitter heart stickers and it’s the perfect closure. Grab some fun pens and personalize each persons name on the envelopes. In fact, take more stickers and place them on he front of the envelope to jazz it up.After purchasing your American Greetings cards at Walmart, download the Ibotta app and get the offer of saving $1 after you purchase one card. The app is so easy to use and I save so much money by using it. Enter the Sending My Love sweepstakes below for a chance to win, ends February 13, 2018. For all the official rules, click here.

I’m so excited to join in with a few other bloggers each month as we tackle a mystery material and create items using our Cricut machines. This month the material is felt and I’m so excited to show you how to create this super easy DIY felt Valentine banner.
Begin by gathering all your materials and opening the Cricut Design Space file. You’ll want to cut your white pennants first out of white felt. I found some wool felt from Joann but you can use the less expensive sheets.Next you’ll cut your hearts. If you want all the same color, just use the color sync function in Design Space to make sure that they all cut out of the same sheet of felt. When cutting felt with your Cricut Maker, you want to use the pink mat along with the rotary blade. You’ll choose the setting that will automatically select the rotary blade. When you cut Cricut felt, it is a lot stiffer so you’re able to use the deep cut blade. If you don’t have the deep cut blade, don’t worry. Just select the other setting and use the rotary blade for any felt.Once all your pieces are cut, use the Liquid Thread and place the glue on the back of the hearts. While the glue is still wet, use your iron or EasyPress to follow the directions on the bottle to get the glue to stick. I pressed longer than the 60 seconds it recommended but it did work. I’d say I pressed for at least 120 seconds at 305°F.Make this banner as long or as short as you’d like and hang up with the rest of your Valentine decorations. For the felts I chose to do an ombre effect with the colors. I love how it turned out and it’s the perfect DIY felt Valentine banner.Check out below what other blogger have created using felt and their own Cricut machines. These machines are so beneficial to the everyday crafter. You have to get one!
I’m so excited! I joined a bunch of other bloggers and each month we do a new challenge using our Cricut machine. I’m going to show you how to DIY Valentine Pillows and sharing the free .svg files so you can make one yourself. This post contains affiliate links. Thank you for your support.
So start by uploading your images into Design Space. Since these are .svg files, it’s just a straight download. You don’t need to edit the image before importing it. For the girls face I used plain htv for the eyes, bow and mouth. For her cheeks, I used pink glitter. On the Moon and Back image, I used black glitter and weeded it using my BrightPad. You don’t have to have one but it’s been a lifesaver when weeding glitter htv.Because the image is pretty detailed, some of the glitter peeled up. For that reason, I just pulled up all the polka dots in the O and A. I just used some scissors to clean up the lines. If you use the standard Iron-On for that image, you should be ok.When you’re ready to press, use the Cricut EasyPress to get a good adhesion. For easyweed htv, use your EasyPress at 305º for 25-30 seconds. When you use your EasyPress for glitter Iron-On, use 325º for 25-30 seconds. Use your Iron-On Protection sheet to be sure not to have the EasyPress touch any exposed Iron-On. Or you can just lay the carrier sheet back over the image. These are in my daughters room and she absolutely loves them. Such cute accompaniments to her pink bedding from Pottery Barn Teen. For more great Valentine crafts using your Cricut, check out the other bloggers and what they made!

I found these adorable felt envelopes in the Dollar Spot section at Target. What can’t you find at Target? I knew that I wanted to make these personalized for Valentines Day and fill them with goodies for my kids. I found a super cute cut file in Cricut Design Space and sized it to fit perfectly. I added each of their names underneath and I may just keep them do this every year.
Begin by opening the .svg file and upload it into Design Space then send it to your machine. Be sure to mirror the image when using any iron-on. To prepare your image, you’re going to weed out the negative space of the file. The main image will remain on the carrier sheet. You do not want to cut all the way through the carrier sheet for Iron-On.Lay your image on your felt envelope and press. If you’re using the Cricut EasyPress to press your iron-on foil, set your machine to 300°. Preheat your envelope for 10 seconds and lay the image where you want it. Place your iron-on protective sheet over the image and press for 25-30 seconds. You can peel your iron-on foil warm but it is best to allow it to cool. Give it 1-2 minutes. If you’re going to press it with your iron, head here for tips.If you want to add a personalized name in a different foil, apply that now. You can just add the name and attach it to the Valentines Day .svg file. Your file will now cut as one.Now fill you personalized Valentine felt envelope with more Target goodies and you’re personalized Valentine felt envelope is good to go. It’ll be perfect for years to come or just use it this year alone. They’re inexpensive enough that you don’t need to feel bad if you lose it.To find more Valentine projects that you can make with your Cricut, check out the links below.
Have you ever wondered how to upload an image into Cricut Design Space? I’m going to show you how easy it is to upload your own .jpeg files so you can cut them on your Cricut. This post contains affiliate links. Thank you to Cricut for sponsoring this post.
You first want to find an image you like or your can scan a drawing of your own and convert it to a .jpeg file. I found these ladybugs on Adobe Stock because I have an account. You can easily find an image online that you like and use it for personal use. Please don’t take other people’s hard work and pass it off as your own unless you pay for it.
So because we’re uploading an image of your own, we first want to make sure it’s saved to our computer in the right format. Cricut Design Space accepts .jpeg, .png, .svg, .gif, .bmp and .dxf files. If you have any other file that needs to be converted, there are websites dedicated to converting your file into the file you desire, you just need to google it and it’ll show up.
Now let’s get to it, you’re going to select to make a new canvas by clicking on the Create New Project link.Next, select the upload images on the left side of the screen. And then select Upload Image. Now you’ll select Browse and find your image that you’ve saved to your computer and select Open.Once you’ve brought in your image, it will be time to edit it. For .jpeg and .png, there is the option to select and deselect things you want and don’t want. I like to choose complex image for more detailed images and simple for images I just want to cut outer edges of. For the other files, it will bring it in and you can just select right away if you want it to be a cut or print then cut file.Select the negative space and whatever part of the image you don’t want using your mouse and select Continue. Whatever you do not want to show will be the transparent squares that are in the background. After you’ve edited your image, the next screen will allow you to choose whether you want a Print then Cut image or just a Cut image. When you choose the cut, only the places that were not selected in the edit screen will be cut. Go ahead and save your image with some keywords so you can search for it later and then you’ll also be able to find it by the other images you’ve uploaded. Select it and add it to your canvas.I cut out 12 images of the ladybug, 3 of each color and arranged them on my 10″x10″ canvas. You’ll next use some hot glue to secure them in place. This is not necessary but these are tiny pins here for my apothecary style art so I didn’t want them sliding all over the place. Once they’re at the place you want them at, go ahead and add your mini pins to make it look like a small piece of art just like the Japanese style art with live bugs and frame them.Add it to your mantel or shelves and enjoy this Valentine’s Day art project you made all on your own using your own images you’ve uploaded into Cricut Design Space.
