Carrot Favor Box for Easter with your Cricut and Xyron

March 22, 2018

Create a darling carrot favor box for Easter using your Cricut and some Xyron adhesive. This post contains affiliate links. Thank you for your support.

I’m so excited! Today is my first post with the Xyron Design Team. I’m going to be sharing two posts a month that is dedicated to them but in reality, most my projects include Xyron adhesive.  Our theme this month is Easter and I loved creating this carrot favor box.

Supplies –

Begin by downloading the .svg file from Lia Griffith’s site. I have said this many times – her membership is so worth it. I get so many printables, cut files and inspiration from her. After you’ve cut the file, crease it at the score lines.Use your Xyron Mega Runner to apply the adhesive along the small fold and press the box together. Fill it with some goodies and tie with the ribbon. And I don’t know what it is but these egg shaped peanut butter M&M’s are 10x better than the original! I used these Crepe Paper Daisies in the photo too. They are also a file of Lia’s that I downloaded. I used them in a floral crown that I made for my daughter. Check that out here.Easter has never been funner than with this carrot favor box! They’re a new favorite craft of mine. Happy Easter!

How to Cut Burlap with your Cricut Maker and Make a Fun Easter Banner

March 21, 2018

Have you ever wondered how to cut burlap with your Cricut Maker? Use the rotary blade for the smoothest cut ever!Learn how to make this fun Easter craft using burlap and your Cricut Maker. This post contains affiliate links. Thank you for your support.

This month for the Create with Cricut challenge, our material is Burlap. See how easy it is to cut burlap with your Cricut Maker.

Supplies –

Learn how to make this fun Easter craft using burlap and your Cricut Maker.I found some laminated vinyl at my locals Michaels near their small section of fabric. It came in a roll that is 12″x47″ and is perfect for laying it on my cutting mat. You can absolutely cut non-laminated burlap but I like this because it won’t fray after I cut it.Learn how to make this fun Easter craft using burlap and your Cricut Maker.Cut your pennant shapes out of the vinyl using the rotary blade and your pink fabric mat. I have used my other mats with my rotary blade and I haven’t had any issues. It may dull the rotary blade a little faster but I try to save the fabric mat for items that won’t leave a lot of fuzz behind.Learn how to make this fun Easter craft using burlap and your Cricut Maker.Next cut out your bunnies. You can use different colors of Iron-On Vinyl or just one color. Another fun material would be felt. Just back it with some Heat n’ Bond and use your rotary blade to cut it out as well. Since this design is essential the same, I didn’t worry about mirroring my image. If you do letters or words, be sure to mirror your image. But you do need to make sure that you place the Iron-On right side down on your mat.Learn how to make this fun Easter craft using burlap and your Cricut Maker.Use your EasyPress or your Iron to secure the image onto the burlap. Use it on the foil setting at 385°F for 25-30 seconds. Be sure to warm your burlap before to wick out any moisture that may be there. Moisture and applying vinyl do not go hand-in-hand.Learn how to make this fun Easter craft using burlap and your Cricut Maker. Now just weave your banner through some ribbon and hang. I like to add junque bows in between my letters so that they don’t bunch together and I can control the spacing.

I love this burlap Easter banner and it’s going to go up every year!

Supplies

Create this easy Easter bunny craft using your Cricut and a cereal box.The new Cricut Maker has a setting that you can choose cereal box. It was insanely easy and all you need in addition to the materials that come with your Maker is the Deep Cut Blade. Click on the link to the Design Space file above and it will take you to the file to make this exact bunny and bow. Just size it however you want it.Create this easy Easter bunny craft using your Cricut and a cereal box.Begin by cutting all your materials. For the cereal box, I chose to have it do a double cut just to insure a clean cut. To do this all you have to do is not unload it. Once your image has cut just press the go button again. This will be sure that the lines are cut on the same spot. If you unload it and then try to cut it again, your images will not be cut exactly like before.Create this easy Easter bunny craft using your Cricut and a cereal box.I had some cotton balls on hand and just glued it to the tail area. I did the same with the cardstock bow. I used Cricut Cardstock in Rose and used the fine point blade and did a double cut as well.Create this easy Easter bunny craft using your Cricut and a cereal box.Just place your Easter Bunny craft wherever you want and it’s the perfect addition to your holiday decor. It will bring up a print and mat preview and then select Go again. Go ahead and load your printable vinyl into your printer and then select that green print page button. Peeps Rice Krispie Treats are delicious but even better in Easter form. Use your favorite Easter Bunny cookie cutter and make these look like the real deal.Peeps rice krispie treats recipe This post contains affiliate links. Thank you for your support.

Oh my gosh! These are so good and not too overly sweet. Our kids love these as a fun Easter snack. I’m going to show you how to create your own Peeps Rice Krispie Treats for Easter.
Easter kids dessert recipeSupplies –

Easter Rice Krispies with PeepsBegin by melting one package of Peeps, 1/4 cup of butter and 2 cups of marshmallows. I used the microwave to melt the ingredients together and once it came out, I gave it a good stir. Make rice krispies with peepsNext, add 2 cups of Rice Krispie cereal and mix it well. You’ll then pour it onto a 1/4 sheet pan. To press down the treats easily, wet your hands a little. It’ll make the mixture not as hot to the touch and you’ll have no marshmallows stuck to your hands afterwards. peeps recipesAllow the mixture to cool and cut out as many bunnies as you can. I got 8 out of each 1/4 sheet pan. Now take your black writing gel and place three dots to represent the eyes and the nose of the bunnies. Now they look just like giant peeps and taste delicious. You’re going to get more servings, obviously, if you just cut them into squares but it’s fun for them to be cut into mimicking bunnies to match the Peeps.fun kids easter treats Sometimes I find Peeps overly sweet because of the sugar coating so I’ve found that mixing them with more regular marshmallows makes them more tolerable to eat a larger amount. Who cares, it’s Easter and Easter is the perfect time to have Peeps Rice Krispie Treats.

I just dipped one end into the cup and them places the M&M’s into a flower pattern onto the Rice Krispies Treat.

Disney Easter Baskets for Any Age

This shop has been compensated by Collective Bias, Inc. and its advertiser. All opinions are mine alone. #DisneyEaster #CollectiveBiasCreate a Disney Easter Basket with FROZEN, The Avengers and Star Wars. Only on frenchiewraps.comEaster is such a fun holiday for our family. In our city, our extended family has always lived on the same block, I know! My grandma cooks for us and we all go over and have a big buffet with all the cousins, aunts and uncles. Afterwards, we go into the field next door and hunt for Easter eggs. My generation knows the tricks, always shake them or go for the light ones, they have the money. It usually tends to be a competition between my brother and I, which one of our kids can get the most money since now we’re to ‘old’ to hunt, lol.Create a Disney Easter Basket with FROZEN, The Avengers and Star Wars. Only on frenchiewraps.comSo for our own little family, I wanted to start a new Easter tradition and Disney has some fun things for all my kids to be satisfied with. For Leila, she wanted FROZEN, what child hasn’t loved that movie lately? Walmart has some of the best selection for Easter this year to fill those baskets for your young ones.

Create a Disney Easter Basket with FROZEN, The Avengers and Star Wars. Only on frenchiewraps.comFor Siaki, I went with The Avengers theme because he loves Hulk and Iron Man, he always has. When he was a little boy, we bought both boys those giant Hulk gloves to box each other. We still sometimes bring them out because they just need to inflict some pain on one another once in a while.Create a Disney Easter Basket with FROZEN, The Avengers and Star Wars. Only on frenchiewraps.comFor the F man, we went with the classic Star Wars. Granted, they didn’t have as many things in the store for Star Wars, but he’s always been a huge fan and we can just binge watch those movies for days. He’s always been into those movies and that really what the best thing about Disney is, they are classics and everyone enjoys them.
