Patriotic Wood Plank Sign using your Cricut Maker Knife Blade

June 10, 2018

Creating this Patriotic Wood Plank Sign couldn’t be easier when you use your Cricut. Use the Cricut Knife Blade to cut thick chipboard and then adhere it to your store-bought wood plank sign. Create this easy Cricut Patriotic Sign perfect for Fourth of July. So easy to make using the Cricut Maker and Knife Blade. #CricutMadeThis post contains affiliate links. Thank you for your support.

I use my Cricut to make the most awesome patriotic crafts. I created this wood plank sign using my Cricut Maker and Knife Blade to get this sign to look the way it does and I love it.

Supplies

Each shape took around 20 passes of the knife blade to ensure that it cut through the entire shape. Then use that same Cricut Design Space file to cut your paper stars to go on top of your Cricut chipboard stars.Create this easy Cricut Patriotic Sign perfect for Fourth of July. So easy to make using the Cricut Maker and Knife Blade. #CricutMadeWhen using adhesive with the Cricut Chipboard, do not mix a wet adhesive with a dry adhesive. So I shouldn’t run the cardstock through my Xyron and then paint Mod Podge on top. I need to decide ahead of time what adhesive I’m going to use. Since the white craft paint has a metallic sheen to it, I’m going to just use some Mod Podge for the Cricut patriotic sign. Create this easy Cricut Patriotic Sign perfect for Fourth of July. So easy to make using the Cricut Maker and Knife Blade. #CricutMadeJust paint the chipboard with Mod Podge and then lay the paper stars on the corresponding Cricut Chipboard stars. Next, use some more Mod Podge to layer your Cricut patriotic stars on top of each other.

I’m going to use some E6000 to adhere the star to the wood plank sign. This will make sure that my Cricut patriotic sign will last a long time.

You can only use the Cricut Knife Blade with the Cricut Maker. The Cricut Explore models do not have the force ability to use the Cricut Knife Blade. For all your Knife Blade questions, see this post here. Be sure to use a Strong Grip Mat and some masking tape for the edges.Create this easy Cricut Patriotic Sign perfect for Fourth of July. Create this easy Donut Box using DCWV Scrapbook Paper, your Xyron Mega Runner and the Xyron Creative Station. This post contains affiliate links. I receive a small commision on items you buy at no extra cost to you. Thank you for your support.

This DIY donut box made with DCWV cardstock and Cricut is perfect. I love the added touch that I added using my Cricut pen. Donut Kill My Vibe is my new mantra! Use your Xyron adhesive to make something that will really last…a lot faster than the donut will.

Supplies

Begin by opening the Donut Box file with Cricut Design Space. The Cricut file is all set for you. Plan on having 5 pieces of the DCWV cardstock. The Rainbow Splash cardstock pad is perfect for many projects. It has a great variety in the pad and I plan on using every sheet. Sometimes you get pads that only give you a few good ones, but this DCWV scrapbook pad is perfection.Use your DCWV scrapbook paper and your Xyron tools to make this DIY Donut Box. #CricutMade #Xyron #DonutCraft I used the cloud paper as the inside of the box. I cut two pieces for the lower donut box. I needed a lighter cardstock to allow the Cricut pen to show through. Use your DCWV scrapbook paper and your Xyron tools to make this DIY Donut Box. #CricutMade #Xyron #DonutCraftRun the inside of the box with your Xyron Creative Station along with the smaller areas of the bow. Use your DCWV scrapbook paper and your Xyron tools to make this DIY Donut Box. #CricutMade #Xyron #DonutCraftLay the inside of the donut box that you cut with your Cricut and assemble the bottom. Use the Xyron Mega Runner to run adhesive on the tabs of the donut box.Use your DCWV scrapbook paper and your Xyron tools to make this DIY Donut Box. #CricutMade #Xyron #DonutCraft Now it’s time to put together your Cricut gift bow. There are three X shapes and one I shape. They all have 2 holes that will coordinate with each other. Use the smaller shapes and lay them onto their corresponding shape. It will leave you with a strip on each side of the base paper. You fold the I shape into a circle and then place the brad in the corresponding holes.Use your DCWV scrapbook paper and your Xyron tools to make this DIY Donut Box. #CricutMade #Xyron #DonutCraft Then the X shapes will have the four tabs folded in toward each other and you adhere them all to the brad. Work from the smallest to the largest. Fluff your bow to make it how you want.Use your DCWV scrapbook paper and your Xyron tools to make this DIY Donut Box. #CricutMade #Xyron #DonutCraft Now add your donut to your donut box that you cut with your Cricut. I still don’t know what to get my mom or what to even tell my husband to get me for Mother’s Day. A gift card is a great idea because it gives moms a chance to go out, alone, and buy something for themselves that they normally wouldn’t. Make this gift card holder to make the gift card a little more personalized.

You can’t just give a gift card in an envelope, at least I can’t. I have to make a cute gift card holder made out of cardstock and cut with my Cricut.

Supplies –

Perfect for an Alice in Wonderland party, hand out these teacup favors with your favorite mix of teas inside. #party #whiterabbit #deepredstamps #xyron #cricutmadeI used to have a really large stamping addiction but then they just took too much space and I couldn’t handle the pile-up. I love Deep Red Stamps because they’re compact and you’re able to know exactly what image your mini clear bag is holding. Takes up a quarter of the space that those old wooden stamps did.Perfect for an Alice in Wonderland party, hand out these teacup favors with your favorite mix of teas inside. #party #whiterabbit #deepredstamps #xyron #cricutmade

Supplies

Begin by cutting out your teacup favors with your Cricut. Use your scoring tool and the fine point blade to get the nice precision cut that Cricut always gives. Fold your teacups along the score lines then run the solid cardstock through your Xyron Creative Station. Perfect for an Alice in Wonderland party, hand out these teacup favors with your favorite mix of teas inside. #party #whiterabbit #deepredstamps #xyron #cricutmadeStart assembling the inner and outer cardstocks and then place the solid cardstock on the inside of the cup. Be sure to pay attention to the tabs so that none of them shows. Use some clips to help hold the smaller tabs in place. I just used some liquid adhesive for these small tabs.Run your handles through the Xyron Creative Station and adhere them on to the side of the teacup favors.Perfect for an Alice in Wonderland party, hand out these teacup favors with your favorite mix of teas inside. #party #whiterabbit #deepredstamps #xyron #cricutmadeNow on the kraft paper bags, stamp your White Rabbit stamp in the corner using the black ink pad. This masculine wood fishing banner was so easy to make. I found these wooden half circles at a local shop called The Wood Connection. They’re perfect for this fishing scrapbooking paper and embellishments.

Begin by tracing your half circles on to your paper. I just used the tip of my scissors and traced the shape then cut it out by hand.Create this masculine Gone Fishing' wood banner using Paper House and Xyron products. #scrapbooking #woodbanner #paperhouse #xyron

Color with Derwent and Xyron to make a Modern Mountain Drawing

March 29, 2018

Have you ever wondered how to draw with Cricut? I’m going to show you how easy it is and then create a modern mountain art piece in less than 15 minutes.Learn how to draw using your Cricut Explore or Cricut Maker and create this modern mountain art. #CricurMade #Derwent #Xyron #CricutThis post contains affiliate links. Thank you for your support.

For my second Xyron post as a Design Team member is in collaboration with Derwent. They have these amazing quality colouring pencils that you have to try! I’m going to walk you through using your Cricut Maker or Cricut Explore to draw this modern mountain art. I filled it in afterwards with the Derwent Colouring Pencils and I love the look it gave me.Learn how to draw using your Cricut Explore or Cricut Maker and create this modern mountain art. #CricurMade #Derwent #Xyron #CricutSupplies –

To use the draw feature on your Cricut is really easy. The best way to accomplish a great look is to search draw in Cricut Design Space. On the right-hand side of the image will show you whether you have your image selected as cut, print or draw. Be sure that when you’re drawing that you have the pen tool selected. It will automatically change the image to show you what it will look like drawn. Learn how to draw using your Cricut Explore or Cricut Maker and create this modern mountain art. #CricurMade #Derwent #Xyron #CricutIf you have multiple layers and it is not an original drawing image then you will have some overlap in your image that will be extremely noticeable. Learn how to draw using your Cricut Explore or Cricut Maker and create this modern mountain art. #CricurMade #Derwent #Xyron #CricutWhen you have your image selected as draw and sized to fit your sketchbook, load the paper onto your mat. I chose the light grip mat and I tore two individual sheets from the sketchbook. I was able to place both images on the same mat and spaced the drawings out.

To do this, select Make It in Design Space. Select that you want to make two of the same project and it will auto-populate onto your mat preview. Rotate your images to fit on the measurements of your actual mat like the example below.Select continue and load your Cricut Fine Point Pen into clamp A. Release the clamp on side A and slide your pen all the way down until you feel it click. Position the pen so that the arrow is facing towards you and pointing down on the pen. Load your mat and select Go.

With the pens, you can select that the image can be drawn 2X as fast. If your image has a lot of detail don’t select this option. It’s just a matter of saving a minute or two so it’s not necessary to remember this step.

After you have drawn with your Cricut, unload the mat and remove the sketchbook paper off of the mat. Be sure to cap your pens when they are not in use. Learn how to draw using your Cricut Explore or Cricut Maker and create this modern mountain art. #CricurMade #Derwent #Xyron #CricutNow that your image has been drawn with the Cricut fine point pen, use your Derwent Colouring Pencils and color in some of the images. Use one of the drawn images and leave the other to the side for now. Just fill it in however you want, no need to be perfect.

Run it through your Xyron Creative Station, rub and then peel away the clear top-sheet away. Cut the images on the drawing lines and now you will have stickers that will have adhesive on all edges of the cut images. You don’t have to keep all the pieces but just place them wherever you want on your plain drawn image.Learn how to draw using your Cricut Explore or Cricut Maker and create this modern mountain art. #CricurMade #Derwent #Xyron #CricutIf you notice on the first image that I pulled through the Creative Station that I didn’t use all the pieces that I colored. I took the time to decide on what images I wanted to place back on the other drawn image. Learn how to draw using your Cricut Explore or Cricut Maker and create this modern mountain art. #CricurMade #Derwent #Xyron #CricutI really enjoyed using these Derwent Colouring Pencils and I can’t wait to put them to use again for all my scrapbooking and cardmaking.

Carrot Favor Box for Easter with your Cricut and Xyron

March 22, 2018

Create a darling carrot favor box for Easter using your Cricut and some Xyron adhesive. This post contains affiliate links. Thank you for your support.

I’m so excited! Today is my first post with the Xyron Design Team. I’m going to be sharing two posts a month that is dedicated to them but in reality, most my projects include Xyron adhesive.  Our theme this month is Easter and I loved creating this carrot favor box.

Supplies –

Begin by downloading the .svg file from Lia Griffith’s site. I have said this many times – her membership is so worth it. I get so many printables, cut files and inspiration from her. After you’ve cut the file, crease it at the score lines.Use your Xyron Mega Runner to apply the adhesive along the small fold and press the box together. Fill it with some goodies and tie with the ribbon. And I don’t know what it is but these egg shaped peanut butter M&M’s are 10x better than the original! I used these Crepe Paper Daisies in the photo too. They are also a file of Lia’s that I downloaded. I used them in a floral crown that I made for my daughter. Check that out here.Easter has never been funner than with this carrot favor box! They’re a new favorite craft of mine. Happy Easter!
